Well-known, respected auto industry consulting firm is seeking a dynamic industry professional with experience in manufacturing, operations, industrial or manufacturing engineering, in areas such as metal fabricating, machining and component assembly. 

Relevant experience should include working or consulting in a lean manufacturing environment, project leadership, and knowledge of the automotive industry.  Must have extensive hands-on Lean experience.

Required Attributes

• Undergraduate degree preferably in engineering or business
• 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing or related experience, preferably with a major vehicle OEM, Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier
• Program management in the area of manufacturing or operations (experience in reducing lead times, manufacturing costs, improving quality, etc.)
• Production or operations management experience
• Expertise and application of the principles of lean manufacturing and hands-on application on the shop floor
• Preferable to have experience in brownfield conversion
• Ability to analyze cost, process requirements, process design, and quality systems from a total business perspective
• Utilize a systems thinking and structured problem solving approach to analyzing and correcting problems
• Strong leadership skills; work well in a team environment, willingness to learn and transfer knowledge
• Capable of coordinating and managing multiple projects of 3-6 month duration
• Effective writing and presentation skills
• Entrepreneurial spirit with high personal initiative - self directed
• Willing to travel nationally and internationally, as required to support our clients
